High School Musical star Zac Efron has spent the day mopping up his modest Hollywood mansion after it became flooded by up to ankle high flood.

The flood started following torrential rain caused his swimming pool to overflow.

“While Zac slept, his swimming pool had overflowed, his backyard became a lake and water seeping under exterior doors flooded the house,” a source spills in the March 3 issue of The National Enquirer. “Zac called his pool guy, who arrived with a pump and started directing water away from the property.”

Efron called a group of friends up who cameto help in the mopping out.

“He and some pals spent an entire day mopping out his house and sandbagging doors to block further flooding. Now Zac’s working with landscapers to design a better drainage set-up – and he just keeps thanking his lucky stars he was in town to stop further damage,” the tipster added.

Efron is now said to be assessing the damage that was done by the flood which includes the star’s garden.

Lets hope he didn’t skimp on insurance
