Julie Plec the producer of phenomena ‘The Vampire Diaries’ has promised Bonnie Bennett (Kat Graham) the return of one of her family members back to Mystic Falls. Plec feels that the character she is wanting to bring into the show will create a lot of tension.

Last year it was announced that Abby Bennett, the mother of Bonnie Bennett would be played but actress Persia White.

Plec has commented on what it would mean to the show and to Abby’s estranged daughter, she has said to ‘TV Line’ that the reunion wont just be all nice and sweet these were her words,

(it wont be)’all Hallmark cards and cookies’

‘There’s a lot of tension there. There’s a surprising explanation about why her mother felt like she needed to walk away and never come back to Mystic Falls’. Plec also teases that Bonnie’s past will ‘play an interesting role in solving a present-day mythology puzzle’

It shouldnt be long now for Abby to make an appearence on the show.
