The movie got a rather cool response from critics.

Talking to Parade Pattinson said that some reviewers reacted more to the hype that was around the movie than to the movie itself.

Pattinson said “I didn’t like the way New Moon was treated by the critics. I think it was reviewed in the context of just being a big franchise movie.”

“When something is so hyped, inevitably, there is a backlash against it. I think Chris Weitz is an amazing director. I really enjoyed the film. So the naysayers kind of annoyed me.”

What did you thinkof the New Moon film did you like it or was the hype bigger than the film itself and will you buy it when it comes out?

The PETA is the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals.

The new campaign is an adoption one ane Lutz is urging fans to head down to their local animal shelter and rescue a pet. Lutz isn’t just all talk though as he has adopted two dogs himself Kola and Kevin from his local shelter.

Of course if you live with your parents get there permission first.

Lutz says, “There are surprisingly many animals in these shelters. It’s sad, and knowing that they get euthanized. For the fans of Twilight out there who have so much love, give that love to a pet if you don’t have one.”

And Lutz, who is PETA’s poster boy for the campaign, admits the cause is close to his heart.

He adds, “I wanted to get involved with PETA’s animal adoption campaign because there are countless numbers of animals out there and it’s our job to take them under our wing and take care of them and give them a place to live.”

Madonna’s kiss with Britney Spears at the MTV Video Music Awards in 2003 came top of the vote which was carried out by department store Selfridges.

A source has described the kiss as “one of the most memorable moments ever”.

The Twilight team will be battleing American footballers on the Saints roster in the 20th March baseball battle.

The Twilight team is said to consist of Peter Facinelli, Chaske Spencer, Alex Meraz and Tyson Houseman.

The event will take part in New Orleans, Louisiana.

All the money raised by the event will go to the American Red Cross and Hope for Haiti Now .

As an added bonus the Blood Center will be hosting a blood drive during the event.

Facinelli admits he has become a big baseball fan after learning how to play the game for the first Twilight film.

Stewart was dressed in a green jacket with her hair loosely pulled back during the interview and Stewart was eager to talk about her other roles apart from Bella Swan to make it clear to her fans that she is more than just Bella from Twilight.

When asked how she prepared for the slightly more risqué role Stewart said

“Umm, Jake Scott, the director had a lot to do with my preparation and understanding of the type of person I was playing, and his serious regard of sensitivity towards those people. I play a girl who has sort of been stripped of any choice and really stripped of any normal upbringing. Like she couldn’t establish who she was because of things that have happened to her and she became a ‘working girl,’ if you want to call it that.”

“So in preparing for the role I talked to a lot of people, actually like three people in New Orleans, that were strippers that were working in this bar that we ended up using in the movie…I don’t really prepare for anything, it’s just about like, keeping it in your mind the whole time. If it affects you…it’s just about understanding it more, it’s not about having to like physically—oh, but I did have to do pole dancing lessons! But you don’t really see that in the movies.”

when asked if she had sexy skills now Stewart said

“Yeah yeah.”

When asked if she got nervous before the more provocative scenes Stewart answered

“I was freaking out! The thing is my character is so, like, she just doesn’t care. Basically nothing belongs to her. She’ll give it to you like it doesn’t bother [her]. So I had to drop that. She literally walks around with an open sore. Literally! She’s just constantly like, ‘Ugh, I’m fine, whatever.’”

When asked if she was able to enjoy any free time after New Moon Stewart replied

“Yeah, I’m actually bored for the first time in, like, ever. So, yeah, I really want to get back to work.”

It is being reported that Pattinson has been told that he could basically write his own cheques
and demand as much money as he wants.

To make it even better for Pattinson others record companies have now heard this rumour and a bidding war has broken out.

Pattinson is a keen musician and can play piano and guitar.

People in the music industry think that he has a good voice and that due to his acting success as well as his singing he could be a good money spinner.

A source has said

“Robert is reluctant to be turned into a pop star – and takes his music very seriously.”

But we think that if Pattinson did agree a deal he would have to emply a very big secruity team for any live concerts.

Lutz was smiling as he dropped off a laundry basket full of clothes to his local drop off at Do something/Teens for Jeans Haiti relief donation centre in LA yesterday.

Lutz had stopped off for a bit of lunch on his way home braving the abnormally rainy day in California, showing that he is willing to help people who are less fortunate.

We say well done Lutz and also well done to his Twilight co-star Robert Pattinson for participating in the telephon we hope that lots of money and aid has been raised to help to Haitian people.

So far we have asked who else could have played both Bella and Edward so Jacob was next.

We are not saying that Taylor Lautner wasn’t good in the part far from in but it is nice to see what you think , who else you could imagine being good playing the role.

Summit Entertainment have announced that the DVD will be on sale on March 20th.

The DVD will feature bonus material, including commentary with director Chris Weitz and editor Peter Lambert, a six-part behind-the-scenes documentary, and band rehearsal footage and music videos Muse, Death Cab for Cutie, Anya Marina, and Mute Math, the production company said in a statement.

The pair are said to have been so pleased with the short time they spent there on New Years Eve as they were only regocnised by a few people.

They are looking forward to being able to live a relatively normal life as it is a fairly secluded area.

A friend has said: “Rob and Kristen were only recognized a handful of times while in Ventnor, they loved it.

“They were able to walk around largely unnoticed – like a normal couple. They’ve talked about buying a property on island for when the pressures of Hollywood get too much.”

The guys over at Summit are trying to get Meyer to agree to split the book but Meyer just can’t decide id it is the right thing to do for the story.

An insider has said “Stephenie is calling the shots, and she still can’t decided whether or not making two movies is the right thing to do creatively. Both sides have very different agendas.”

“Meyer isn’t in it for the fame. She hates doing press, and she doesn’t want to be recognized for anything other than her work, so what’s her incentive to drag [the book] out?”

“Summit keep trying to persuade her it’s the right thing to do artistically. They’re constantly waiting for her input.”

Stewart has said that she feels very protective of Bella as thier lives have developed in a similar way.

Stewart explains

“I feel like Bella has become something that is me, in a weird way. I feel very protective of her.”

“Bella and I have been on a similar ride, in that during the second film she matures a bit. She’s making these drastic life decisions and she knows what she wants.”

“She’s got to know herself much better. I think I’ve done the same thing through this project. It’s been a wild ride and there’s been a lot of self-evaluation. I’ve grown a lot, and so has Bella.”

Stewart also admitted being heartbrken when the photos of New Moon being filmed were leaked.

Speaking to the Top of the Pops magazine Stewart said

“I was heartbroken when pictures were all over the internet. I didn’t want anybody to see certain looks, like Taylor in his wig, because we wanted to surprise people when the movie came out.”

In June the next part of the Twilight saga Eclipse is due for release but you wont need to wait that long to get more Pattinson action as his new movie ‘Remember Me’ is set for release on the 12th of March, so we hope that Pattinson got nice is rested during his Christmas holiday as promotion for this new film will soon get intense.

‘Remember Me is a drama centered on two lovers whose newfound relationship is threatened as they try to cope with their respective family tragedies.

During an interview with GMTV Pattinson revealed quite a few things including that he didn’t agree with the relationship.

Robert Pattinson claimed to really enjoy filming New Moon because everyone was so relaxed and the director Chris Weltz was so calm it was great.

He talked about how amazing it is that they’ve already filmed two sequels within a year of the first “Twilight” movie coming out.

He confessed that he doesn’t really agree with Bella and Edward’s relationship because it’s the type that sort of alienates everyone else around them . They’re so caught up in themselves, that the friendships around them are no longer important.

He said he did quite a bit of his own stunts in “New Moon,” but not as many in “Twilight” because he got injured on the very first day.

He also revealed that he would never want to be a vampire in real life. However, the running fast ability is appealing to him.

He also admitted that he doesn’t like putting on that pale white make-up everyday. He talked about how his family feels about his career. He was also in a band. He wasn’t a fan of school or homework.

He talked about all the media attention. He said, it’s great to go back to England because no one even bats an eye at him over there. He feels normal again when he’s there. He concluded, by talking a little bit about the Volturi vampire clan and their history.

““Twilight Saga: Eclipse” is due for release on June 30,2010.

Pattinson has been nominated for “Favourite Movie Actor” along with Brad Pitt, Hugh Jackman, Johnny Depp and Ryan Reynolds.

He is also nominated along with the New Moon team including Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner for Favourite On-Screen Team category.

Twilight is also a nominee under the “Favourite Movie” category

The Twilight Saga gets a nomination for Favourite Franchisee as well.

Pattinson has said that he can not attend due to other work commitments which will make him miss the first big event in Hollywood this year.

The show will be aired on CBS on 6th January and is to be hosted by Queen Latifah.

Greene said “The first ’Twilight’ movie was very focused on this love story and really sweet and it was beautiful, but it didn’t have a lot of stuff that guys would go, ‘Yeah, I want to go see that.’ There’s going to be a lot more focus on [action], and the fight scene will have more emphasis on it. I definitely think it will be a little more guy-friendly.”

Enjoying some down time Greene was seen soaking up the lovely west coast weather and spent time out with a friend at the Aroma Cafe in Los Angeles on Tuesday 5th January.

As well as her Twilight films Greene has also completed other films to be released this year.

The films include a drama called Skateland that is about the “dramatic events forcing a 19-year-old skating rink manager to look at his life in a very new way.”

Greene has also been in “Radio Free Albemuth” and “Warrior,” while getting ready for the filming of “The Apparition” for which filming begins on February 1st.

During some free time Greene was seen out and about in Los Angeles shopping with a friend at Ralph’s grocery store with bagfuls of shopping.

Maybe the time in the gym will help him to forget his recent split from Taylor Swift , Lautner did do his best to ignore the press as he walked out of the gym to get to his car.

But on a good note for Lautner he has been predicted to be a Top Money Making star within a few years and he has been named as one of the two “Stars of Tomorrow” by the Quigley Publishing Company’s 78th Annual Poll of Exhibitors,

On the outside Pattinson seems to be the same charming cheerful person we all know , but its hard not to notice that he looks weary now.

Pattinson himself confessed to being surprised at how fast the Twilight series has been made.

“It’s ridiculous to think that, in a year, we’ve filmed two sequels and the next one’s already coming out next week or so,”

Well maybe he should take a month of and spend it in bed resting.

It seems that Pattinson was going out to run errands with his sister Lizzy.

Pattinson has had a very good year this year , he was voted favourite bachelor of 2009 and also top male star.

But he can only grow from his current success and we think that any film that he is in at the moment will make money.

Next year seems set to be just as good for him with the third Twilight film coming out and the film Remember Me.

Also only time will tell if and when Pattinson and Stewart will confirm that they are a couple.

I for one will be watching to see if any of the films that Pattinson does outside of the Twilight saga brings him as much press attention or if the fans are crazy about the character he plays.

Pattinson explains ‘Originally, I did a three-picture deal, but I wasn’t even really thinking about that…

‘I had no idea that I’d still be working on it now.’

Pattinson says that he is still in shock over the success of the Twilight saga and never expected them to be as big as they are.

‘It’s been a little frightening, In England no-one had heard of the series when I went for the audition, so it has been a total, utter surprise.’

It got so bad that Frankie Sandford has been banned from seeing New Moon in the cinema by her boyfriend.

Frankie has said “I don’t care about those rumours that he smells.”

While Rochelle has said that “I like a rough-and-ready guy. A bit of stubble, yes, but hygiene is good.”

The actor who plays Sam Uley had to check himself into rehab before doing the film.

The rehab was in Washington. The centre was the Northwest Indian treatment.

The rehab centre a facility for Native Americans.

Ray Martins claims that he himself was a patient at the rehab centre at the same time and alleges that the actor feared that he would lose the part if he did not clean up quickly

Martin said to the National Enquirer,

“Chaske confided to me that he was up for a role in a ‘really big movie’ and didn’t want to screw it up.”

“He said, ‘If anyone finds out I’m here, it would be the worst thing in the world. It could ruin my career!’”

The actor spent five weeks in the centre before leaving sober and staying that way ever since.

Martin says he is happy that the actor got the role saying

“I don’t think Chaske could have done the film if he hadn’t gone through rehab first. He got a new lease on life, and then New Moon.”

Lutz has become a household name for his role as Emmett Cullen in the film version Twilight saga.

Lutz found the stray dog on the street near his home and decided to take the dog home with him.

The dogs new name is now Kevin. Lutz says “I just adopted a new dog, Kevin,”

“I found a stray on the street. He’s like a little Chihuahua that all the neighbours were into. I don’t know why, but he just lay on the street and acted dead and all these cars drove around him.”

“I’m going home to Arizona, which I only get to do once a year. So I’m taking him to Arizona, too.” Lucky dog gets to spend Christmas with Lutz and his family.

It is the longest of all the books and was proving to be a difficult one to decide whether to make it or not.

But with the success of the first movie and the hype around the recently released second film New Moon which is currently doing very well in the cinemas the talk now is that they will go ahead and make the film, but will split it Harry Potter style into two films.

First Summit have had to make sure that all the main cast agreed to come back to make the films, and lets face it after all the publicity, growing fan base and cash that they have made from the first two films alone they were hardly going to say no.

And you can almost guarentee that they will get a pay rise for the next two films as well an added bonus that means that when all the frazzled celebs have a hard day fighting off obsesed fans that they can sit back and count their cash.

So it comes as no surprise that the main leads , those of Robert Pattinson who plays Edward Cullen, Kristen Stewart who plays Bella Swan and Taylor Lautner who plays Jacob Black have all reportedly said that they are very much on board to do the films.

“They are so on board, still,”
“But the money has to be right. If it is, it’ll happen—especially now that Rob and Kristen are learning better how to handle the press.”

In September Summit asked Melissa Rosenberg to write the script for Breaking Dawn, which of course she agreed to.

Lautner said

‘I was never extremely confident, because I was an actor, when I was in school there was a little bullying going on.”

Talking to rolling stone Lautner said

Lautner says that Foxx hunted him down for an autograph and photo during the Twilight premiere in 2008.

During an appearance on TBS’ Lopez Tonight Lautner said

“There’s tons of fans and we hear all of these high pitch voices and we hear ‘Rah, rah, Taylor, Taylor!’”

“All of a sudden I hear this deep voice behind me: ‘Taylor, Taylor!’… And this guy walks up to me and he goes ‘Hey…my daughter is a huge fan, and I’m a huge fan is there any way I can get a picture with you. I’m Jamie Foxx.’”

Although Lautner is used to getting attention from fans Lautner admits to being taken back when Foxx approached him.

“I was like, ‘Are you kidding me? Can I get a picture with you?’”

Pattinson plays the love interest for Bella Swan played by Kristen Stewart but the couple although deeply in love only kiss in the first books.

Pattinson says that the sexual tension that are under the story lines are enough to make it sexy.

Speaking to a British newspaper Pattinson said

“Twilight is a big metaphor for sexual abstinence, and yet it’s erotic underneath.”

Pattinson had said in previous interviews that he found it hard to play his role of Edward Cullen due to what he had to live up to from the books.

“But the description of my character is, from the first page on, completely ridiculous. It says, ‘He enters a room, and his beauty is almost painful’.”

Because of her boyfriend’s jealousy Sandford said that she wasn’t allowed to go and see the Twilight Saga New Moon in the cinema even though she really wanted to.

Sandford said

“Robert Pattinson… I really wanted to go to his new film premiere, but my boyfriend Dougie wouldn’t let me. He said, ‘I’m not taking you, you’ll run away with him.’”

Sandford also admitted that Poynter had a hangover on their first date.

“I met him briefly at a show at G-A-Y, but we’d fancied each other from afar for about five years. When we met, he shook my hand and was really awkward.

“On our first date, the first thing he said was, ‘I’m really hung over and sometimes when I’m hung over I go into London and pass out, so I’m just warning you!’

“But we had a really good time – and we ended up being asked to leave the restaurant because they wanted to close. Everyone had packed up around us!”

Lautner’s character Jacob Black is caught up in the triangle with Edward Cullen played by Robert Pattinson and Bella Swan played by Kristen Stewart.

Lautner thinks that he knows why his character in the film keeps getting between Edward and Bella.

Lautner told Rolling Stone

‘The thing is, Jacob and Edward are two completely different guys,’ he explains. ‘They are opposites. And it’s just what kind of girl you are.

‘If you like that more mysterious, dangerous type, then that’s one guy. I personally love Jacob and Bella’s relationship, and how they began as friends.

‘They are so much more open, and can tell each other anything. And Bella and Edward’s relationship, it’s always tense. It’s always serious… She gets confused.’

Jacob Black is a bit of a scary character.

‘He can’t really control himself,’ Taylor, 17, tells Rolling Stone. ‘When he gets mad, he gets mad. And all Jacob has on his mind is on Bella.

‘That’s who he cares for. That’s who he loves. If somebody gets in his way, it’s not good. And he will explode.’

Pattinson and Spencer had a rowing race on the set of New Moon in the weight room that was needed to keep all the actors in shape for the film, were many of them go topless

Spencer explained to The Star

“We were all really competitive and supportive of one another. One time, I had the highest score on this rowing machine and the next day I came in and Rob had beaten me.

“He worked out at night, and the wolves came in during the day. I’d beat him and then he’d beat me. On the last day of shooting, I came in and he’d beaten me by a second.”

Stewart is impressed by the way her co star has improved as an actor and bulked up for the soon to be released second instalment of the Twilight saga.

Stewart has said

“The cool thing is that it’s not just physical. You can read it all over him, just in his entire attitude. The difference between the kid that did ‘Twilight’ and this guy now is pretty astounding.”

When Taylor spoke about bulking up for the role he said

“When I was filming ‘Twilight’, I knew that Jacob’s character changed a lot so if I wanted to continue portraying him correctly, I had a lot of work ahead. So I started hitting the gym. I got a personal trainer. I started eating a lot of food and cut the sugars. It was a lot of work, but it was definitely worth it.”

Britain’s More magazine has reported that a source has told them that the pair are sharing a hotel suite while filming the third instalment of the Twilight saga Eclipse in Vancouver.

All this is before the long awaited release of New Moon which is due to hit cinemas on 20th November.

The hotel and suite in question is said to be the entire 34th floor of the Sheraton wall Centre Hotel costing them $850 a night.

According to More magazine the source has said

“They have two rooms joined by a door. They use a third suite on the floor to listen to music or watch Blu-ray movies on a large, flat screen, when they stay in after a day’s shooting or on weekends.”

“Each lavish suite boasts two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a kitchen, a dining room and a large living room.”

“The suites are great. Every room has floor-to-ceiling windows and large, flat screen TVs and chandeliers. The baths double as Jacuzzis. And, best of all, that floor has its own butler and security. Robert and Kristen are transported to and from the set by accessing a private elevator system in the hotel that leads to a gated and guarded garage.”

Prout’s spokesperson has spoken to E! News confirming this.

Prout is probably best known for her roles as Jennifer Garner’s protégé in Elektra and Amanda on ABC Family’s Kyle XY.

She will join the cast of Eclipse which we know include the likes of Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner on the locked down set in Vancouver.

Prout’s character plays an important part in Jasper’s background.

But in case you haven’t read the book I won’t say anymore.

Lautner explained “It’s a job. I definitely can’t feel it, I feel like the same person. I don’t walk outside my house and have 65,000 screaming fans waiting but it’s really insane because it is almost like living two lives.”

Lautner also spoke about eating every two hours to gain the necessary weight to enable him to continue to play the role in the new films.

“The hardest part was actually eating a lot of good foods and cutting out all of the fat foods. It was about always putting something in your mouth. Every two hours, I always had to have something. So, that was the most difficult part for me, for sure. I knew what I had to do and that’s what I did. I stayed focused, and it all worked out well.”

We think that Lautner should wait until the films been released and then try to walk outside his house!

“I’m not the lead in the second film. Taylor Lautner is I appear in Bella’s dreams. So I’m in it but the focus is not on me. I just have significant moments at the beginning … and the end. So I’m more of a supporting role in this one, which is why I felt so free. I didn’t have to deal with any of the bullshit of the first one. I don’t have to hold the movie or worry about the fans. I think I did it better without all those pressures.”

Pattinson started his career by playing small parts. He was Cedric Diggory in two of the Harry Potter films The Goblet of Fire and The Order of the Phoenix

“It’s embarrassing for me. And I’m sure it’s awkward for all of them. I’m hoping that I don’t get teased by my family because I’ll start blushing.”

I had this 40-year-old woman trying to find a way to take her panties off for me to sign them. They had my name imprinted on them. So that was kind of strange.”

Lautner has also had to change his diet to maintain his body for the films by cutting out sugary foods.

The Documentary apparently will chart his rise to main star of Twilight from his early childhood days, to his modeling career, break through in Harry Potter , the works.

The Documentary is being released just before New Moon is released to cash in on the hysteria that is building up with November the 10th penciled in.

It will be released on DVD naturally and is expected to become a bestseller in no time at all.

By her account she graduated just a week before shooting a graduation scene in Eclipse the third installment in the Twilight series.

“The other day I was doing a graduation scene on Eclipse, and I had just finished high school myself the week before, so I told the crew, ‘Hey, just so you know, I’m actually graduating right now, and I’m not going to have another ceremony.’ So I took a mock picture with an extra. I literally asked the actor to come back and shake my hand and hand me the diploma while I was dressed in a cap and gown.”

Good to see the girl still considers it necessary to graduate.

Twilight also won the best blockbuster award but the best film of the year went to Slumdog Millionaire.

Slumdog Millionaires director Danny Boyle was very happy with award saying

“You should never get blase about awards because you’ll be a long time in the wilderness afterwards.”

Best actor award went to Martin Sheen for his portrayal of David Frost and Brian Clough in Frost/Nixon and The Dammed United respectively.

And last but not least the turkey of year went to the Jonas Brothers for their The 3D Concert Experience.

Ah well you can’t win them all.

Stewart will appear in the magazines 40th anniversary issue and will be no doubt one of many interviews that Stewart will give as part of the promotional tour for the much awaited film New Moon which is set for release on November 20th.

When asked about how she feels about everybody talking about her personal life , and possible relationship with co star Robert Pattinson, Stewart said

“There’s nothing you can do about it, I don’t talk to anybody about my personal life and maybe that perpetuates it too. But it’s really important to own what you want to own and keep it to yourself.”

News from Vancouver was that the co-stars had been seen to be almost inseparable.

When talking about her life now, Stewart said that she felt dull.

 ”The sad thing is that I feel so boring, because Twilight is literally how every conversation I have these days begins.”

Well I’m guessing her life wont be quite so dull now with all that extra money to spend thanks to the film.

Lautner who plays the role of Jacob Black in the Twilight saga gained 30lbs of muscle to be able to play Jacob in the second film in the saga.

Lautner says

, “It’s actually quite uncomfortable knowing so many people are seeing that! It’s a little bit embarrassing!”

In the New Moon film Lautner is bare chested and the part of Jacob required Lautner to gain the weight.

Lautner commented about getting in shape for the role stating that it took

“A lot of hard work. Eating, working out – a lot of stuff.”

When asked about the third film in the saga all Lautner would say was

“It’s really good. We are having a lot of fun hanging out up in Vancouver.”

Guess nothing is being revealed yet about the third film, it is being kept very much under wraps.

Melissa Rosenberg the screenwriter has said that “They’ll be similar, but very different.” but that “They have the continuity of having the same writers and same actors, but the directors put their own stamp on it,”

Ok that all makes sense, sort of, but it is hard for the fans to really grasp what to expect from Eclipse without having seen New Moon and in a way this constant drip drip of info is starting to become a little tiring.

They will need to be careful that they don’t make the mistake that some have made in the past when they build something up for it to be a huge disapointment, The Matrix trilogy is a classic example of this.

That said the Lord of the rings series was a success and from what insiders are saying it is more likely that New Mon and Eclipse will be as good as what we hope they will be.

“That’s the kind of thing you can’t anticipate in a career. It was devastating, I didn’t see it coming,” she said, adding that moving on to other films had been a much-needed outlet.
 
“Going off and getting to do ‘Barney’s Version’ [instead] with Paul Giamatti was such a beautiful experience, I got to play a character who was really emotionally unhinged, so I got to take all my sadness and devastation and channel it into this character. It was a nice place to land.”
 
But she admitted
 
“I was devastated and I was shocked. But the truth is I am grateful for the Twilight franchise. I’m grateful for the doors that it opened to me. I love my cast. And I think New Moon is going to be great.”
