“When Madonna puts out a new album, she will be on top again. Madonna is the greatest icon the gay community has ever had,” The Equality Project’s Joel Waddell said.

Lady Gaga came third with 22 per cent, while 12 per cent of respondents picked Katy Perry. (ANI)

The trouble first made itself known shortly after Brand tweeted an unflattering picture of his make-up free wife last month.

Katy then realised her relationship may need some attention, according to reports in Life and Style magazine.

Brand was the inspiration for her ”You think I”m pretty without any makeup on” lyrics in her Teenage Dream hit song.

The harsh early morning photo was swiftly taken down from Twitter but not before it had gone viral.

To add to their woes they are going to be spending a lot of time apart in the coming nine months with Katy away on her California Dreams world tour which kicks off on February 20 and ends in November. (ANI)

“That’s at the end of the year so we’ve got some time to plan.”

Perry had been dating Brand for only four months before he proposed on New Year’s Eve whilst on a romantic stay in Jaipur, India.

Perry’s guest list is expected to include pop star Taylor Swift.

The “I Kissed a Girl” hitmaker recently filmed a cameo role for fiancé Russell Brand’s latest picture, Get Him to the Greek, and now she’s preparing to voice a character in Smurfs: The Movie.

Perry will lend her voice to the new film, which will be a mixture of live action and animation, as Smurfette, the only female Smurf among the group. She joins How I Met Your Mother star Neil Patrick Harris, Alan Cumming and George Lopez, who have already signed up, according to Variety.com.

JLS are the latest to say that they think Perry is hot.

JLS member JB says that he thinks she is the perfect woman and he would love the chance to meet her.

JB said: “I like Russell, but I’m very jealous that he has managed to put a ring on Katy’s finger. She’s stunning and seems like great fun as well.”

The couple arrived in Jaipur India on Wednesday December 30th to spend the New Year festivals India style.

During their visit to India the couple stopped at the worlds most romantic building The Taj Mahal.

The couple posed for a picture in front of the building with Perry then uploading the picture to her Twitter account writing

“He built this for me…”

Keeping her eager fans up to date Perry also wrote

“In India, the motto is…you gotta go with the flow…”

A source has said “They don’t know when the wedding will be but they are planning to make it in 2010 if the schedules can work.”

Brand is reported to of proposed to Perry during her visit to the UK where she spent time with Brand before having to fly back to the US to celebrate Christmas with her family.

The couple will see each other again on New Years Eve and I am sure that there will be lots of close ups of her hand to see if there is a ring .

Perry did call him honest though saying “As much as he’s an a**hole he’s a very truthful, honest a**hole.”

But surprisingly her swearing about him has not made him dislike her, in fact quite the opposite he now respects her for having the guts to voice her opinion.

He was heard saying “She’s definitely got her own opinion. She’s a feisty solo artist and I like that.”

With the auditions about to begin for a new show, Perry clearly felt that now was the time to voice her feelings about the guy who created the TV show .

Not sure if you will be getting a call back for this show though Perry, or then again you know what they say about love and hate being closely connected.
