Many of the in people attended the Coachella festival this year, but one of the hottest stars was unable to attend due to prior work commitments.

As celebs, including his girlfriend Kristen Stewart,partied to the sounds of Beyonce and Them Crooked Vultures, poor Pattinson missed out due to his filming commitments.

The Twilight star is a massive music fan and he had hoped to be able to take a break from work to party with Kristen and co whilst listening to some of his favourite bands including Scots act and Camera Obscura.

But unfortunatly work got in the way and Pattinson was instead having to work on his career.

Rumour has it Mr Pattinson is set to release his own music next year so perhaps we will be seeing him at Coachella 2011… on stage.

It is believed that one of the stand-out acts at the festival for Kristen Stewart was Vampire Weekend, how appropriate.

But Pattinson should take some comfort in the fact that he was not the only star unable to attend thanks to the volcanic ash cloud many stars are still grounded.
