Jade Ewen replaces Sugababes alleged bully

Jade_EwenIn a statement posted on the bands official website last night  it was confirmed that Keisha Buchanan who has been in the girl group for 11 years would be the one leaving the group.  A spokesperson for the band said

“The current line-up of the Sugababes has disbanded.”

It had been reported that it would be Amelle Berrabah that would be leaving the band but it appears that these were no more than rumors.

But surprisingly the rumors did have one truthful aspect to them , that was the name of the replacement for the exiting band member.

Eurovision contestant Jade Ewen will be the one stepping into the gap and becoming the third member of the girl group.

Buchanan is claiming that she was forced out of the group , speaking about the split today Buchanan said
“I’m sad to say that I am no longer a part of the Sugababes.

“I’ve had a great time and have achieved more then I ever thought I would. Although it was not my choice to leave, it’s time to enter a new chapter in my life.”

The group have always been plagued by inner friction which led to two previous band members leaving and then claiming that it was down to bullying.

But former band member Mutya Buena has come out publicly to say that current band member Heidi Range should of followed suit and left the band too backing up Buchanan.

Mutya wrote on Twitter

“I will say this publicly… shame on Heidi for not following Keisha out. But doesn’t surprise me a bit. x.”

On Twitter Mutya spoke of the beginning of the band

“It all started so innocently…a love for music and a dream…look what it’s become. RIP”.

Buchanan has dismissed claims of the bullying via her own Twitter messages saying

“I would like to state that there were no arguments, bullying or anything of the sort that led to this.”

Buchanan does have plans for the future and wont stop singing she is due to be starting a solo career

The Sugababes will still go ahead with the release of their new album called ‘Sweet 7’ on November 23
