Already named PEOPLE’s 2008 Bachelor of the Year, Mario Lopez is now a frontrunner for a new title: sexiest father alive.

“The Extra” host’s girlfriend is expecting their first child in the fall.

“I’m really excited. I’m happy. I can’t wait to be a dad,” Lopez told PEOPLE.

Lopez, 36, and his girlfriend, actress Courtney Mazza, 28, met in 2008 when Lopez starred in “A Chorus Line” on Broadway.

So is the former “Dancing with the Stars” competitor — and longtime playboy — ready for diaper duty?

Robert Pattinson seems to be paying the price now for being one of the biggest stars around at the moment as he is unable to find any spare time to record an album that he wants to release.

Pattinson has some songs that are on the Twilight album. The tracks are called Let Me Sign and Never Think.

Pattinson says, “I want to do an album at the end of the year. All my friends are recording albums and I’m very annoyed about it. I can play the guitar and piano, but I can’t do two things at once. I don’t know how people like Jennifer Lopez can act and then also sing.

“Hopefully, I’ll find some time to get it together.”

Robert Pattinson has lots going on at the moment, his new film Remember Me comes out on Friday , the release of the New Moon DVD is due on the 20th of March , he is presently filming Bel Ami and in June we have the release of Twilight saga: Eclispe, Pattinson also has all the promotion that goes with all of this.

Pattinson talks to Parade about his confidence with girls, New Moon director Chris Weitz , and his precious dog .

On confidence Pattinson said

“When it comes to the opposite sex, I’m not as fully confident as the guy I play. I don’t even remember the last time I asked someone out on a date, like, just went up to them and that’s the first thing I did. I’m much more self-conscious and not wanting to fail. So I tend to hold back.”

On knowing what it’s like to lose a loved one Pattinson answered.

“I keep talking about my dog all the time. It was an incredible dog, and I said in an interview recently he was the most important person in my life. My family went crazy with me for saying that. But, however ridiculous it may seem to some people, my relationship with my dog was a defining moment. Having the dog die was, literally, like the worst day of my life. It was like losing a family member.”

On reading reviews Pattinson replied

“I didn’t like the way New Moon was treated by the critics. I think it was reviewed in the context of just being a big franchise movie. When something is so hyped, inevitably, there is a backlash against it. I think Chris Weitz is an amazing director. I really enjoyed the film. So the naysayers kind of annoyed me.”

On putting out an album Pattinson confessed.

“I kind of want to do one at the end of the year. All my friends are recording albums and I’m very annoyed about it. But I can’t do two things at once. I don’t know how people like Jennifer Lopez can act and also sing. I’m just like, ‘I can’t.’ But, hopefully, I’ll find some time to get it together.”

On Pierce Brosnan Pattinson said

“We went out to dinner in a restaurant full of all these guys who looked like bankers or brokers. They didn’t recognize me, but they recognized Pierce. And he said, ‘Notice those people looking over?’ I’m sitting there getting more and more self-conscious, even though I didn’t realize they weren’t looking at me. Suddenly, Pierce got up and introduced himself to everybody in the restaurant. At first I was like, ‘What are you doing? You’re like completely insane.’ But it worked. Everybody just relaxed and stopped staring and you could tell they were going to go home and say, ‘Pierce is such a nice guy.’”

Police tell us they were called to St. Joseph’s hospital in Burbank, CA shortly before 4AM PT to investigate.

Haim shot to fame in the 80s — when he co-starred in a number of films.

Katie Price has insisted that her marriage to Alex Reid is “legal” and genuine.
It follows reports that the minister who conducted their wedding ceremony at the Wynn casino in Las Vegas last month had no power to do so.

But a statement issued on Katie’s behalf claimed the marriage was perfectly legitimate and they had been assured that it had been properly authorised.

It said: “Following the revelations in the press over the past couple of days regarding the validity of Katie and Alex’s wedding, we would like to state that the marriage is 100 per cent legitimate and legal.”

The band had just finished their Uk tour with a concert at London’s Hammersmith Apollo on Sunday night which now leaves the boys free to break into America.

AMY WINEHOUSE is planning to re-marry junkie ex BLAKE FIELDER-CIVIL – in Las Vegas.

Rehab singer Wino, 26, aims to tie the knot in a quickie ceremony similar to her first wedding as soon as her US visa application is approved.

It is understood Amy – denied a previous visa for possessing cannabis and an assault she was cleared of later – will get the all-clear in a few weeks. Her first wedding to 27-year-old Blake was in Miami in the US in 2007 – but they divorced last September.

He told The Sun just three months later how they were engaged again, had never stopped loving each other and “definitely want kids”.

Ex-junkie Amy’s just signed a deal on a £2.5million house in Camden, North London, and calls it “our new home”.

Robert Pattinson may appear to have been made for the role of Edward Cullen so the Daily Mail were shocked to find out that he didn’t want to do ther part and nearly turned it down.

Pattinson told the Daily Mail he didn’t want to audition for the film as he was trying to avoid blockbuster movies, but in the end gave in and auditioned.

He said; “At first I didn’t want to do a movie like Twilight, I specifically hadn’t done anything that anyone would see since Harry Potter because I wanted to teach myself how to act. I didn’t want to be an idiot.

“I was going to wait for another year to do two or three more little things and then do something bigger. Twilight came kind of randomly. It was a chance and as I didn’t have a reputation at all there was nothing for me to lose.”

LONDON — Will the magic of the Phantom strike twice for Andrew Lloyd Webber?

The theater world was eagerly awaiting Tuesday’s premiere in London of “Love Never Dies,” the sequel to Lloyd Webber’s global hit “Phantom of the Opera.”

“Phantom” is a tale of gothic romance set in the Paris Opera that has been seen by 100 million people around the world since it opened in 1986. It is still playing in London and New York, where it is the longest running show in Broadway history.

“Love Never Dies” picks up the story 10 years on, with disfigured genius the Phantom relocated to the bright lights of New York’s Coney Island and still besotted with beautiful soprano Christine Daae.

Many “Phantom” fans have trashed the show in Internet reviews based on preview performances. Some say the score has nothing to rival the earlier show’s catchy, romantic ballads such as “The Music of the Night” and “All I Ask of You,” and the set design has come in for criticism.

Widely read theater bloggers the West End Whingers dubbed the show “Paint Never Dries.”

Lloyd Webber says he’s not concerned.

The original tribute show was meant to be held in Vienna but was cancelled in confusing circumstances.

Brother Jermaine has booked Wembley Arena on June 8 though performers on the bill have yet to be announced.

Jermaine said: “The best way and most suitable way is to assemble the world’s largest tribute in history that is only fitting to a man who moved the hearts and souls of an unimaginable amount.”

The movie got a rather cool response from critics.

Talking to Parade Pattinson said that some reviewers reacted more to the hype that was around the movie than to the movie itself.

Pattinson said “I didn’t like the way New Moon was treated by the critics. I think it was reviewed in the context of just being a big franchise movie.”

First, he was asked about girlfriend Mezhgan Hussainy and told Jay Leno that he’ll marry her “within the next ten years. This prompted the unfunny host to actually invite Hussainy onto the stage with her man.

She squeezed in close to Simon and laughed when he said:

THE OSMONDS said an emotional goodbye to MARIE’S son MICHAEL BRYAN in Utah today.

The 18-year-old – who died late last month – was remembered in a large funeral service at the Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints chapel near Provo by his famous singing family.

After the ceremony, Marie fought back tears as she addressed the 450 mourners.

She said: “I’d just like to say thank you. I have amazing support from great men, my family, my brothers.

“God was very wise when he put me into a family with honourable men because they have served as examples for my children.”

Marie said she wanted to use the occasion to “honour my children,” adding, “I’m so proud of each and every one of you.

“I’m proud of my son, and I honour his birthmother who’s here today, who gave me the greatest gift. Thank you for those beautiful 18 years.”

P DIDDY brought mayhem to London at the weekend – when he threw a last-minute knees-up in the capital.

The rap heavyweight had been soaking up the latest trends runway-side at Paris Fashion Week when he decided on an impromptu visit to Blighty en route to the US.

Diddy notified Kensington hotspot Amika a mere six hours in advance and launched a team of 40 party organisers into action – with a £500,000 budget to play with.

During an interview featuring in the April edition of Teen Vogue Cryus has said that her relationship with Australian actor Liam Hemsworth is deeper than what most people have.

Cryus said “Yeah. I think we’re both deeper than normal people — what they think and how they feel,”

“He’s very grateful for what he has, but he doesn’t let it go to his head. I’m like that too.”

Peter Andre has called reports that he istrying to woo Cheryl Cole rubbish.

Andre has said that it is being reported that he has been hounding Cole with texts of support and sending her white roses.

Andre told Now Apparently, I’ve been bombarding Cheryl Cole with supportive texts and sending her white roses in an attempt to woo her,’

‘It’s the first I’ve heard of it! This story really made me laugh as it’s totally made up.’

Andre has said that he thinks it will be a long time before Cole even thinks of dating again .

‘I’ve been told lots of people want us to get together now we’re both on the market,’ he writes in his new! diary.

‘But I’m sure I’m the last thing on her mind at the moment.’

JLS could be bringing their fans erm, extra pleasure after holding talks to launch a range of condoms. And we’re not ribbing you.

The four-piece have been keen advocates of safe sex, giving their views during interviews on the use of protection.

And now the group’s management have been in discussion with a condom manufacturer about the possibility of, cough, getting into bed together.

A source said: “It’s very early days but there have been discussions. Nothing is finalised. It’s in the early stages so it may not happen.”

Zac Efron spoke to Access Hollywood on the red carpet during the Academy Awards about what he thinks about Robert Pattinson.

Being the constant gentleman Efron used the time to praise the Twilight star claiming that he is amazing.

Efron said “He’s absolutely amazing,”

“I think he’s making great choices. I think he’s handling it all really well, but you know, he’s a superstar. He really deserves all this.”

Robert Pattinson is worried about losing fans when Twilight ends

Now Magaizine is reporting that Twilight star Robert Pattinsonis worried about losing fans when the Twilight Saga ends.

Pattinson rose to fan quickly with the release of the first Twilight film in 2008 and interest in him has not dwindled since, but Pattinson seems to be afriad that when the Twilight movies are all over with his fans will lose interest in him.

Talking to the Associated Press Pattinson said

‘If it suddenly dies down and suddenly no one is interested…yeah, it is worrying,’

‘It’s scary to think that it all might just fundamentally stop after the Twilight thing’s finished.’

Sequel Eclipse will hit cinemas on 9 July.

The final book Breaking Dawn is expected to be turned into 2 films.

Katie Price ‘tied the knot’ with Alex Reid in Las Vegas at the luxurious Wynn Hotel on 2 February, but it appears the marriage might not be valid.

Reverend Mose Henney, who conducted the ceremony, is not qualified to marry couples in Sin City, officials claim.

If confirmed, this would mean Jordan, 31, is not Mrs Alex Reid and their union is void.

Reverend Mose Henney, who moved to Las Vegas after quitting the Lutheran church in Wisconsin, did not have the relevant licence to conduct weddings, it’s claimed.

The Oscar for the best picture this year appears to be a close run thing with The Hurt Locker and Avatar battling it out to take home the prize.

As things stand with the bookies at the moment The Hurt Locker is favourite to win.

Inglorious Basterds is third in the betting with quite a large gap between it and Invictus in fourth.

Hurt Locker has been a big hit at the awards , it took home the Best film, director, original screenplay, editing, cinematography and sound at the BAFTA Awards.

It has also been nominated for nine academy awards which include Best Picture and Best Director.

Sandra Bullock is rumoured to be the favourite to win this category with her role in The Blind Side.

Bullock is up against Helen Mirren, Carey Mulligan, Gabourey Sidibe and Meryl Streep for the Oscar but bookies have Bullock as favourite at the moment, if she does win it maybe it will make up for winning the Razzie award yesterday.

Bullock has already received a Golden Globe award for Best Actress ,Screen Guild Award for Outstanding Performance and an Academy Award nomination for her role of Leigh Anne Tuohy in The Blind Side, but despite all this Bullock still isn’t getting her hopes up.

One of the biggest names on the red carpet for many years was designer Alexander McQueen with his sense of cutting edge fearless fashion many a star was seen wearing his designs.

Celebrities including Nicole Kidman, Penélope Cruz, Sarah Jessica Parker and Rihanna, have been seen wearing his designs and we must say looking great in his design to award ceremonies.

Following the designers suicide on the 11th February 2010 it will be sad not to see any new designs missing from the Oscars tonight.

But we are sure that his designs will live on and we may still see a few stars in the future still wearing McQueen’s work.

Heartbroken Cheryl Cole came close to tears as she told a friend how she is preparing for a dramatic showdown this week with cheating husband Ashley.

Cheryl, 26, said she has to find the strength to sit down with Cole when he returns to Britain and confront him over his affairs with five girls.

The singer flew back to London yesterday after a storming live appearance on the Danish version of The X Factor.

And it was obvious how out-of-sorts she is, as she tried to hide a cold sore on her lip – commonly triggered by stress – as she arrived at Heathrow.

During her Danish trip, Cheryl said she was struggling to come to terms with her marriage breakdown.

And she even said she was thinking of quitting Britain for Los Angeles.

On the flight to Copenhagen on Thursday a dejected-looking Cheryl was overheard talking to her manager Hilary Shaw.

A fellow passenger said Cheryl’s eyes welled up as she opened up about Ashley, who is due back in the UK on Tuesday after being treated for a broken ankle in France.

Cheryl told her manager: “We need to sit down and have a talk about what has gone on. I don’t know what to do. It’s such a shame what’s happened.”

Since becoming one of the hottest young stars around at the moment Twilight star Robert Pattinson claims that people are now treating him differently thanks to the success of his role of Edward Cullen in the Twilight saga.

Pattinson has said that he now needs to be more careful which the roles that he chooses to play as people are now looking at what he does.

Talking to Teen Hollywood Pattinson has said

“Yeah, I think people do judge things differently after the Twilight films. They view it differently but I mean there’s nothing you can really do about that.

“I do take that into account more now than I used to. Doing the Dali thing [Little Ashes], when I was doing it, I didn’t think anyone was ever going to see it. It’s a very different place to be at when you think you’re making a movie which nobody is going to see; you’re not afraid to experiment with things.”

No skating for Sandra Bullock just because she’s a frontrunner for Oscar gold tomorrow.

The veteran charmer, who had two slam dunks this year with The Blind Side and The Proposal, may soon join the polarity-achieving ranks of Halle Berry after being named Worst Actress of 2009 at the 30th Annual Golden Raspberry Awards, which dishonor the crummiest films the theaters had to offer last year, for playing a straggly haired stalker in All About Steve.

And like Berry, an Oscar winner for Monster’s Ball who showed up to claim her Razzie for Catwoman, Bullock sounded like she was looking forward to, if not making out with Meryl Streep on Razzie night, then at least being able to laugh at herself.

“I’m more comfortable with criticism than I am with goodwill, because I’m more familiar with it, and I’ve made friends with it,” she told Entertainment Weekly. “And the Razzies are a great honor.”

The object of her affection in the box office stinker, Bradley Cooper, didn’t get off scot-free, either. The otherwise dashing duo shared the win for Worst Screen Couple, beating out New Moon’s Robsten, Lautsten and any combination of JoBro.

All three Jonas brothers shared in the “win” for Worst Actor of 2009, however, for their failure to, um, properly play themselves in Jonas Brothers: The 3-D Concert Experience.

Katie Price has laid into ex-husband Peter Andre in a blistering attack, telling the Sunday Mirror: “Pete’s trying to ruin my life. I’ve moved on, why can’t he?”

Speaking exclusively in Los Angeles – where she’s attending Elton John’s AIDS Foundation Oscars party – the furious 31-year-old said: “Peter is dragging me through the courts at every opportunity. He wants me to lose money and make me unhappy. It’s sad Pete’s having to do that, it’s like he wants me to lose everything I’ve worked so hard for.

“I don’t want him to be unhappy but people need to realise he’s not what the public think he is. I want him to move on like I have, but he won’t.

“He just wants to make my life a misery, make me out as the baddie.

“It’s gone far enough. I know I’m outspoken and seem tough but nobody deserves what I’ve been through. I’m not a bad person.”

The ex-glamour girl also revealed she’s going to tell all about Pete in another shocking autobiography.

She said: “You just wait. It’s time the truth came out on me and Pete. I’m not going to hold anything back. I’d be very scared if I was him.”

Dancing on Ice star Christopher Dean has split from his wife – and is said to have been spending evenings with married co-star Karen Barber.

The 51-year-old skater – one half of legendary Olympic champions Torvill and Dean – announced the marriage break-up last night. The star had been living in the US with wife Jill and their two sons, Jack and Sam, but has been spending long spells back in Britain for the show.
