Erin Andrews peeping tom gets bail and house arrest
Michael Barrett the alleged peeping tom that took secret recordings of Erin Andrews has been allowed to post bail of $4500 at a hearing in Chicago by Judge Arlander Keys.
Keys also ordered Barrett to stay confined to his home, in effect house arrest, he is allowed out to work and other essential activities but is under curfew from 21.00 to 06.00.
Additionally and this is a no brainer he is not allowed an Internet connection.
He is due back in court on the 23rd October and until that date the restrictions stay in place.
Barrett it has been alleged did not just have photos of Erin Andrews in his possession, the Police found other footage showing women in various compromising positions.
According to the FBI Barrett stalked Andrews across the country, got a room next to hers and videoed her using a micro camera.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Steve Grimes said “This was not just a whimsical act,” “This was an obsession, one that was acted out, one he carried out through various states.”
Barrett was caught after trying to sell the footage to TMZ last January
