Controversial British comedian Russell brand is preparing to host the 2009 MTV music video awards on Sunday.

Part of his preparations will be to learn about the twilight series as stars of the film Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner are said to be appearing.

Brand has confessed to E!online  that he knows nothing about the film.

As part of an interview Brand was asked if he was team Edward or team Jacob .Brand did not apologise for not knowing what it meant saying.

I don’t know what those words mean,” Brand explained. “I am afraid I am not the demographic. I wish them both well, but I don’t think I am their type of audience.”

But brand was quick to admit that

It doesn’t mean Twilight won’t get attention. “You just look at the landscape and see what’s prevalent,” Brand said. “It’s pretty obvious what things are going to work and what things people are interested in.”

Seating plans are being worked out and at the moment Stewart and Lautner will be sitting a seat apart in the fifth row, the same row as Ashley Greene.

No one seems sure yet where Pattinson is going to be sitting.

We do wonder though if we will see a Pattinson shape sliding into the empty seat between Stewart and Lautner.
