Amanda Holden is due to begin hosting the 1990′s game show ‘The Crystal Maze’.

The shows original host in the 1990′s was Richard O’Brien.

There will be a difference in this version of the game show.

The difference being that instead of it being members of the public that compete it will be celebrities that have their wits put to the test.

An insider said: “ITV are huge fans of Amanda and are looking at a number of different game-show concepts but this is certainly the one they are excited about.”

“They are spending a lot of money and hope it will surpass – and blow away – the old Crystal Maze.”
